Do we really understand the value of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass?
Why wait till your loved one departs from this life before you have a Mass offered for them. Having a Mass offered NOW, while they are still alive is like giving them GOLD. However, if you arrange for a Mass to be offered after death, which is still a beautiful custom and an act of Charity, it is like giving them SILVER instead of GOLD.
Every soul that dwells in heaven is a saint. Truly there is only one tragedy, that is not to become a saint. We can help each other to become saints, by having a Mass offered for our loved ones while they are still alive. God, who is All-Knowing, knows when we will be most cooperative with the grace obtained from the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass that was offered for us while we were alive. He in His mercy will dispense these graces to us at this time. Perhaps even on our deathbed.
Mothers give your children a Mass, this year for their birthday.
Husbands remember your wife with a bouquet of Masses instead of flowers, that will only wilt in a few days.

Arrange for a Mass for your parents on Mother and Fathers Day.
Finally we can and should assist the Poor Souls in Purgatory and obtain the
Mercy of God through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Christ instituted the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which is the unbloody
renewal of His Passion and death, under the appearance of bread and wine.
Christ is immolated upon the altar at Mass, being Himself both priest and
victim. Through the Mass, men participate in the sacrifice and merits of
Christ, adore God, thank Him, make reparation for sin, and petition for
blessings.
